Description of services

All dogs are groomed to the correct City & Guilds standard and handled with patience and care. We are also fully insured.

Doggie Daytime Crèche

In April we are reopening our crèche where you can leave your dog from 9am until 5pm. We will give your dog plenty of company all day and a 20 minute walk for a few wee breaks, the odd treat and a few cuddles. Your dog can have his own little run area.

Grooming

Our Grooming Process is open plan so everything is visible to the public. When your dog arrives at K9 we will greet you and your canine friend and establish how you would like your dog cut i.e: not to short,very short, short feet and face etc. We will then take your dog though to the bathing area where they are bathed and dried, and anal glands are emptied. Next we will prepare them for the styling procedure i.e: De-matting, brush drying, combing through and of course cutting nails and ear attention. Lastly we proceed to clipping and styling and scissoring, finishing with a light spray of doggy cologne.

Deliveries

On a Tuesday and Thursday, Becky will be happy to collect and deliver your dog for his or her hairdo. (See Prices)

Products

We have a good range of essential doggy products including dog beds, collars, leads, dog treats, flea treatments, wormers, brushes, bowls and harnesses which are incredibly comfortable. Our dog clothes are by Barkley’s and they are very stylish as well as being practical and reasonably priced

We now also stock "Doorwest Herbal Products" After completing a training course we are now able to sell Doorwest products, they have herbal remedies for a variety of Doggy ailments, stomach upsets, stress or aching joints.

At k9 we also have a super range of the funniest Dog cards that can be used for any occasion they are by "the little dog laughed"

Training

As a holder of the City and Guilds 775 certificate I offer a one to one dog grooming course and as we charge on an hourly basis you can decide when to do your training course (i.e. part or full time or just a few hours per day)

We normally find that in a two month full time course we would cover every aspect of grooming, however plenty of further experience would be necessary to become a proficient groomer. .
